The Family had been working in the Olive Wood Carving for over 50 years, since 1940s, it started in Bethlehem and The source of the olive wood from Mount of Olives in Jerusalem City, and from their own backyard here in Bethlehem. Working together with the family to finish each hand carved master piece

Its takes up to 9-12 months to finish the carving of the Big Statue, it starts by selecting fine Olive Wood pieces, then drying the wood before carving it takes from 6-7 months, and it takes from 3-5 months to finish the carving.

For thousands of years, the sacred olive tree has flourished in the arid climate of the Holy Land. Jesus walked among these trees, carved and built with them, and used them for food as well.
